In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and clinical confidentiality standards. Your expertise will support seamless information flow across medical offices and healthcare providers, contributing to efficient revenue cycle management and high-quality patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding sensitive health information while streamlining administrative processes. Duties Accurately organize, update, and maintain medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility Review and verify medical documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with health regulation policies and clinical confidentiality standards Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure proper coding, billing, and documentation practices supporting revenue cycle management Implement records management protocols to securely store, retrieve, and dispose of medical records in accordance with legal and organizational guidelines Assist in the transition and integration of new EHR systems or updates, providing technical support and training as needed Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards when documenting patient information for clarity and consistency Support audits by preparing accurate reports on medical records management activities and compliance status Qualifications Proven experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with familiarity in medical records management Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, clinical confidentiality policies, and medical terminology Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for managing patient data Understanding of revenue cycle management processes within healthcare organizations Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping practices Ability to interpret and apply medical coding standards accurately Knowledge of records management best practices to ensure data security and regulatory compliance Join us as an Information Record Specialist to contribute your expertise in managing vital healthcare information with precision and integrity.
