Full Job Description Job Title:
Remote Clinical Specialist - Ambient Intelligence & Predictive Insights (Aging in Place) About the
Role:
We are looking for a clinically strong, analytically minded professional to help unlock the full potential of ambient sensing data for older adults aging in place. In this role, you will translate continuous, passive data (e.g., movement, sleep, daily routines, and behavior patterns) into meaningful clinical insights. Your work will help identify early signs of health decline—such as increased fall risk, infection, cognitive changes, or functional deterioration— before they become acute events. This is not a traditional care delivery role. It sits at the intersection of clinical reasoning, behavioral pattern recognition, and data-driven care.
Who This Role Is For:
This role is ideal for clinicians who: Naturally notice patterns and subtle changes in behavior or function. Think beyond tasks and protocols to understand why something is changing. Are excited by the idea of using data to enable earlier, more proactive care. Want to shape the future of aging-in-place, not just operate within it.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze ambient sensing data to detect changes in activity, mobility, sleep, and daily routines. Establish and refine individualized baselines using EHR and behavioral data. Identify meaningful deviations that may indicate emerging health risks. Translate data patterns into clinically relevant insights (e.g., early UTI indicators, fall risk, frailty. progression, cognitive decline). Apply clinical judgment to distinguish normal variation from clinically significant change. Contribute to the development of predictive models and proactive care frameworks. Partner cross-functionally with product, data, and operations teams. Communicate insights clearly to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders (CSMs, families, care teams).
Qualifications:
We are open to a range of clinical backgrounds, including but not limited to: Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Practitioner (NP) Physician Assistant (PA) Occupational Therapist (OT) Physical Therapist (PT)
Required:
5+ years of clinical experience (geriatrics, home health, primary care, or chronic disease management strongly preferred). Deep understanding of aging physiology, functional decline, and common geriatric syndromes. Strong observational and pattern-recognition skills. Comfort working with data trends, dashboards, and EHR systems. Ability to connect subtle behavioral changes with underlying clinical conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Nice to
Have:
Experience in home-based care models or aging-in-place programs. Familiarity with remote patient monitoring, ambient sensing, or wearables. Background in clinical informatics, population health, or care pathway design. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (product, data, engineering). Exposure to dementia care, fall prevention, or post-acute transitions.
What Success Looks Like:
You detect early warning signs in passive data before they are clinically obvious. You improve the precision and usefulness of alerts by applying clinical context. You help reduce avoidable ER visits, hospitalizations, and falls through earlier intervention. You help shape a system that understands whats normal for each individualand flags when something isn't.
Why This Role Matters:
Most healthcare systems react after something goes wrong. This role is about changing that. By combining clinical expertise with ambient intelligence, you will help build a system that recognizes subtle changes in daily life and enables earlier, more proactive care—allowing older adults to live safely and independently at home.
About Lifeguard Health:
We believe older adults should have the support and freedom they need to live where they feel most comfortable, surrounded by what they love, for as long as possible. That's why we're on a mission to help older adults live independently at home longer—with more informed health and wellness support and less worry.
