Population Health Analyst Overview The Population Health Analyst supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of Population Health and Enterprise Analytics initiatives. This role leverages clinical, administrative, and claims data to provide actionable insights that improve care delivery, operational efficiency, and outcomes across the organization. The Analyst will work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and analytics teams to develop standardized reporting, deliver SQL‑based analytics, and support the transformation toward data‑driven decision making. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Analytics . Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in design, implementation, and monitoring of population health and enterprise analytics initiatives. Serve as a key participant in the management of the organization's population health and enterprise data platforms, including data integration, data quality, reporting, and analytics. Perform structured and ad‑hoc analyses using SQL across claims, EHR, and operational datasets. Generate KPI dashboards and monitoring tools supporting quality, utilization, and financial performance under value‑based and risk‑based arrangements. Monitor and support ongoing data collection workflows and ensure data integrity across primary systems. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets. Develop visualizations, reports, and presentations using Power BI and other analytic tools. Ensure accuracy of all delivered reports and maintain documentation for end users. Provide technical assistance and analytic support to internal stakeholders and community partners. Serve on project teams and workgroups as assigned by the Senior Manager of Enterprise Analytics. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Strong SQL skills with experience in data extraction and analysis. Experience with data visualization tools, especially Power BI. Familiarity with relational databases and general data management concepts. Experience working with EHR systems—especially Epic—is preferred. Knowledge of Epic analytics environments such as Cogito, Clarity, or Caboodle, or related Epic certifications, is considered a strong plus. Ability to summarize findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences. Basic understanding of healthcare datasets (EHR, claims, coding) is a plus. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently when appropriate. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred fields:
Public Health, Healthcare Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related areas.
Preferred:
coursework or certification in SQL, database management, or related analytic skills. Working Conditions Office-based role with regular computer and data work.
