HEADQUARTERS
NEGOTIABLEUnder supervision of Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clinical Consultant provides clinical support as the EHR Clinical Application Analyst for the Agency's EHR. Responsible for coordinating with program clinical staff for EHR related tasks. Serves as the clinical expert to assist the EHR core Team with EHR tasks for the EHR clinical applications.

Builds, coordinates, facilitates, and assists the EHR clinical consultant with the clinical development and maintenance of the EHR system. Develops and maintains standardized clinical templates for documentation in the EHR. Develops in coordination with central office consultants and area staff standardized workflow processes for each aspect of clinical service delivery within the EHR. Assists the office of nursing and the programs with the creation of clinical policies and procedures that relate to the EHR.Supports the EHR Clinical Consultant with area and program staff to create and maintain clinical "buy-in" for the EHR system. Provides updates, as appropriate to the area and program clinical staff on the status of the EHR. Assists with training, testing, and troubleshooting as related to the clinical aspects of the EHR.Investigate, research and trouble shoot problems in the EHR related to clinical workflows. Coordinate with IT staff any system modifications and contingency plans to IT analyst and others as necessary to expedite resolution. Ensure technology meets clinical requirements. Involved in assigned projects.

Assist with Communication and Coordination between the clinical staff and the
EHR CORE
team. Serves as the subject matter expert for public health clinical services and advises on the functionality needed for the EHR. Serves as a point of contact for all clinical matters related to the EHR.Assists with Medical Equipment Power Shelter (MEPS) operations, maintain supportive nursing practice competencies to include, but not limited to, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal best practice injection administration, oral medication administration, and client emergency response including First Aid, CPR and AED, and be willing and available to assist during times of public health emergency and outbreak response efforts.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
State Minimum Requirements:
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Some positions require certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA). Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience.
Agency Additional Requirements:
Current driver's license or ability to obtain transportation to fulfill job duties: may be required to use personal vehicle; CPR certification within the first six (6) months and then as required.

Participates in an emergency or disaster as outlined in the DPH Emergency Plans. During such times, the incumbent should regard himself/herself as being on 24-hour call and subject to duty when such events occur and/or anticipated to occur.
