Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for managing patient referrals, ensuring seamless communication between providers, patients, and insurance companies. Your expertise will help streamline the referral process, maintain accurate medical records, and uphold compliance with health regulation policies. Duties Coordinate and process patient referrals efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate Communicate proactively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate timely referrals and appointments Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to document referral details, update patient information, and track referral status Verify insurance coverage and adherence to health regulation policies before scheduling appointments or procedures Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology standards Support revenue cycle management by ensuring proper documentation for billing and reimbursement purposes Conduct records management tasks, including organizing, filing, and retrieving medical records as needed Qualifications Proven experience working in a medical office setting with familiarity in EHR systems and EMR/EHR management software Strong knowledge of health regulation policies and clinical confidentiality requirements Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and revenue cycle processes Prior experience with records management systems and electronic health records (EHR) platforms is highly preferred Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in handling sensitive information Join us as a Referral Coordinator to make a meaningful impact on patient care through efficient referral management!
