The Institutional Monitoring Coordinator plays a key role in supporting clinical research oversight within a cancer research center environment. This position supports the administrative and operational components of institutional monitoring activities to ensure the ethical and compliant conduct of oncology clinical trials. This role reports to the Assistant Director, Monitoring Program. Most Fred Hutch jobs require some on-campus work. However, there may be flexibility for certain positions. Responsibilities Supports daily administrative and operational activities related to institutional monitoring and auditing of clinical research studies across oncology disease programs. Schedules, tracks, and coordinates monitoring activities in alignment with the Institutional Data and Safety Monitoring Plan and organizational requirements. Assists with coordination between study teams, monitors, disease program leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure fully prepared and efficient monitoring visits. Reviews, edits, and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and monitoring tools related to institutional monitoring and data quality oversight. May perform internal monitoring activities (reviews of consent forms, essential documents, pharmacy accountability/training records, source data verifications, etc.). Perform other duties as necessary. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in biological, social or physical science. One year of regulatory or clinical trials and/or prevention study management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One year of clinical research coordination, auditing, monitoring, or regulatory/compliance support. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a complex research environment. Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated experience drafting SOPs, templates, or educational materials. Clinical research certification via ACRP, SOCRA, etc. The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $104,250, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
