About your Role As the Laboratory Manager, you will provide operational leadership to ensure the production of high-quality date palm plantlets through in vitro mass-cloning of regenerants derived from off-shoots, male and female flowers or vegetative cells and tissues.

Employment Type:

Full-time, exempt with occasional off-hours/weekend support for critical operations. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Supervise and train technicians of the production laboratory and media kitchen. Perform clean bench procedures to support urgent operations. Implement process improvement to optimize throughput. Ensure strict contamination control in bench procedures and culture facilities. Ensure data integrity and documentation accuracy. Ensure a culture of regulatory compliance and safety. Oversee equipment maintenance and compliance. Partner and coordinate closely with other departments (R&D, greenhouse etc.). Qualifications BA or MS in Plant Science, Biotechnology or related. 5

• 8+ years in cell and tissue culture; 2
• 3+ years in lab supervision. Strong aseptic technique; evaluation of developmental processes, genotyping. Familiarity with applicable regulatory principles. Proficiency with electronic data management systems and traceability systems. Excellent organization and communication skills. MS Office proficiency Bilingual English/Spanish
• speaking, reading (E), and writing (E). Physical Requirements Able to stand for extended periods and bench work (flow hood), lift up to ~11 kg (25 lb.).
