Hybrid Eligible Stanford University is seeking an Academic Program Professional 2 to work under the general direction of faculty or other management to develop, implement, and administer the vision, strategy, and goals of the assigned academic entityprogram(s). Participate in entityprogram strategy development, long-range planning, and partnership development. Duties include:- Develop and manage research programs by conducting research activities, including outreach to varied stakeholders within the program, assigning resources and making program improvement recommendations that impact policies and programs.
- Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for new research.
- Source, collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions andor recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
- Teach andor assist in the teaching and administration of courses. Develop curriculum. Develop curriculum-rating survey, detailed feedback on courses and make recommendations for preliminary overview and changes.
- Write andor edit complex content for proposals, research grants, peer-reviewed publications, and other program activities.
- Contribute to and inform on strategic programentity planning and related funding and financial sustainability.

- Develop or contribute to outreach strategy related to program communications, development, partnerships, and fundraisingfunding.
- Coach and mentor program staff.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in academic program management or research administration within a university, healthcare, or nonprofit research setting. Experience working in a medical school or clinicalcommunity engagement research environment is a plus.
- Master's Degree (e.g., MPH, MS, MSW, PhD, or equivalent) in a scientific, health, or policy-related field strongly preferred. Background in biomedical sciences, translational research, or health systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing complex, multi-stakeholder research or training initiatives from concept to execution. Adept at building relationships across disciplines and sectors, including experience liaising with faculty, donors, community partners, advocacy organizations, and external research consortia.
- Experience with management an Extensions in Community Healthcare Outcomes (iECHO) or equivalent program preferred.
- Strong knowledge of academic funding mechanisms and internalexternal grant administration, including NIH, foundation, and philanthropic grants, grant administration, IRB, and financial forecasting. Proven experience supporting the development and submission of successful research proposals, including familiarity with sponsor guidelines, compliance processes, and institutional routing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing scientific reports, donor briefings, and educational materials for diverse audiences including faculty, funders, and the public.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
(REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree and five or more years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree in a scientific, health, or policy-related field strongly preferred. Background in biomedical sciences, translational research, or health systems is highly desirable. Experience managing a budget and developing financial plans.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(REQUIRED):- Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
- Ability to oversee and direct staff particularly related to clinical, medical education and community engagement research
- Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.
