Responsibilities The Laboratory Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall operation and administration of the MAEL laboratory. This position is responsible for training, organizing, and delegating responsibilities to Laboratory Staff and Quality Assurance. The goal of which will be to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of laboratory data with the highest client satisfaction. As a key member of the MAEL team, this role will be responsible for the full range of duties associated with an Environmental Laboratory, which will include but not be limited to: Sample Receipt Sample Preparation, Analysis and Throughput Data Reporting Laboratory Expenditures (budgets and resources) Personnel Safety Liaison to Clients and Regulatory Agencies Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the Laboratory Manager must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required includes: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (preferred) with at least 5 years management experience in an environmental laboratory or a Master of Science degree in chemistry (preferred) with at least 2 years management experience in an environmental laboratory. Knowledge and experience with environmental methodology (CWA, RCRA, etc.) Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Ability/willingness for occasional overnight and local travel Valid Driver's License is required

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
