Job Description

  • Job Overview:
  • The Laboratory Operations Program Manager oversees laboratory operations, programs, and strategic initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and high-quality performance. This role manages laboratory resources, budgets, equipment, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional projects while supporting organizational objectives. This is an onsite position located near Winter Garden, Florida.
  • Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • + Lead day-to-day laboratory operations and program execution.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. + Manage laboratory budgets, equipment, inventory, and vendor relationships. + Oversee facility, maintenance, and operational improvement initiatives. + Track performance metrics and drive process improvements. + Support audits, inspections, and corrective action programs. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business and operational goals.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • + Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field.
+ 10-15+ years of laboratory operations, program management, or related experience + Experience managing large federal technical contracts (DoD, DOE, NASA) + Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, compliance, and quality systems. + Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills. + Experience managing budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams. + Local candidates near Winter Garden FL only will be considered.
  • Preferred:
  • + PMP certification and/or advanced degree. + Prior experience with NASA laboratory operations. + Experience with Lean Six Sigma, LIMS, or regulated laboratory environments.

Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
