Responsibilities Under the direction of the Laboratory Director the Laboratory Manager oversees the daily operations of their department(s). Manages staffing needs of the department by helping the team prioritize the work and allocate resources appropriately. Responsible for developing department(s) operational budget and productivity performance, reviewing variances and leveraging resources to ensure targets are met or exceeded. Supports implementation of market specific and/or enterprise level changes through effective leadership and change management. Ensures their department(s) and the laboratory meet or exceed all regulatory requirements. Uses data and leverages best practices whenever possible to solve problems and investigate quality concerns May be required to assist with frontline collections, processing
Qualifications Education:
Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution is required. Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution is required.
Experience:
4 years of clinical laboratory experience is required. 1 year of previous leadership experience within a clinical laboratory is preferred.
