Job Description

GoPath Laboratories is a physician-owned, rapidly growing pathology and molecular diagnostics laboratory focused on advancing cancer detection through innovative technologies. We offer a collaborative, supportive environment where your work directly impacts patient care. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flow Cytometry Supervisor to join our Hematopathology & Molecular Diagnostics team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced platforms and contribute to both clinical diagnostics and ongoing research initiatives. Candidate will oversee technical staff, ensure quality and compliance standards, support assay development and validation, and maintain the department in a fast-paced clinical and/or research environment. This is a full-time position with occasional Weekend and evening availability.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the flow cytometry laboratory Manage, train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel Oversee and perform instrument maintenance, calibration, optimization, troubleshooting, quality control procedures and documentation Carry out the development, validation, and implementation of new assays and protocols Review and interpret flow cytometry data Collaborate with pathologists, researchers, clinicians, and laboratory leadership Monitor inventory, supplies, and laboratory budgets Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, and competency records Support continuous improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness Ensure compliance with CAP and FDA regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Immunology, or related field Minimum 5 years of flow cytometry laboratory experience Previous supervisory or leadership experience Strong knowledge of multicolor flow cytometry techniques and instrumentation Experience with data analysis software such as Kaluza C, FlowJo, FACSDiva, or equivalent Knowledge of laboratory regulatory and accreditation standards Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred Master's degree in a related scientific field SCYM or ASCP certification Experience in clinical, oncology, hematopathology, or immunology laboratories Familiarity with Beckman Coulter instrumentation
