POSITION SUMMARY
The Pre-Analytic Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of designated departments. Assists the Manager in Financial, capital and human resources to ensure services meet established quality and productivity standards. Ensures the provision of high quality services in accordance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for all aspects of personnel management and supervision. Performs laboratory bench assignments as needed. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associates degree in Laboratory Science, Biology, or Chemistry field with 1 year of work experience in a healthcare setting. OR Associates degree in any field with 2 years work experience in a laboratory, healthcare, or leadership role.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical/medical laboratory science. American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Scientist or AMT - Medical Technologist.
Experience:
2 years experience in a supervisor/leadership role, including coaching/mentoring competencies. Experience leading to competency in project management, performance improvement, and quantitiative analysis. Ability to develop and sustain strong staff and interdepartmental relationships.
