SCIENTIFIC PROJECT MANAGER, TSAI LAB
, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory (PILM) , to manage and support research activities, and provide assistance with fundraising and personnel in the laboratory of Professor Li-Huei Tsai, Founding Investigator of the Aging Brain Initiative (ABI), and the Director of the Alana Down Syndrome Research Center (ADSC), and to manage and administer the grant and gift portfolio and lead the proposal application, presentations and report process for the laboratory, ABI and the Neuro-Therapeutics De-risking effort. The approximately forty-member lab conducts research investigating the molecular-, circuit-, and systems-level basis of neurological disorders that impact learning and memory. Model systems include transgenic mice, human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models, and human brain samples. Multidisciplinary approaches are employed, including in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology and neurocircuitry mapping, neurobehavioral testing, biochemistry and immunohistochemistry, large-scale imaging, epigenomic and transcriptomic approaches, and computational analysis of big data using machine learning. REQUIRED
: Ph.D. in Biology/Neuroscience/Bioengineering or related fields; a minimum of five years of related experience; proven writing skills with attention to detail, both in a narrative style for research proposals, reports and manuscripts, as well as a presentational style for talks and seminars; skilled at analyzing and communicating scientific information across different topic areas at a level of detail appropriate for different audiences; ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines; versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with multiple priorities; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and the interpersonal skills necessary to promote collaboration and cooperation among teams and other leading laboratories.
PREFERRED
: Experience in writing successful grant applications and effective administration of grant awards. 5/15/2026
