POSITION PURPOSE
Radiology Manager of Operations to lead X-Ray and CT departments Trinity Health Oakland in Pontiac Michigan. Work alongside a skilled team of more than 50 professionals. The selected candidate manages, coordinates, evaluates and directs patient care services and all technical, business and administrative activities for the Department of Radiology Trinity Health Oakland is a 497‑bed community teaching hospital and Level II trauma center serving Oakland County with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. Its radiology department offers a full spectrum of advanced imaging services, including MRI, CT, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and 3D mammography, available both on campus and through dedicated imaging centers. Our Radiology colleagues play a key role in delivering safe, accurate, patient-centered care. We're looking for individuals who seek to work with modern technology, collaborate with strong clinical teams, and make a difference for patients every day.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of Associate's degree program Radiologic Technology, Bachelor's degree preferred. Three or more years with progressively more responsible work-related experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead staff, collaborate with physicians, and maintain effective relationships across the hospital. Able to analyze and shape policies, procedures, and budgets; works as a team player, shares resources, and stays current on developments in health care.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Critical Job Responsibilities:
Leads both short‑ and long‑term planning for Radiology with the Director, builds systems to meet departmental goals, and ensures quality and regulatory compliance. Actively participates in departmental meetings and represents the department on key committees and task forces.
Financial Viability:
Improves operational efficiency, helps develop capital and operating budgets, evaluates new technology, and monitors financial performance and variances. Shares relevant data and updates to keep the department informed and aligned with budget goals. Service Excellence -
External Customers:
Drives quality improvement efforts, supports policy development with staff input, and serves as a resource for patients, families, physicians, and broader health system teams. Oversees student clinical programs and educational partnerships. Service Excellence -
Internal Customers:
Manages hiring, training, evaluation, and development of staff while ensuring clear structure, effective workflows, and strong communication. Provides leadership, guidance, and technical support, and coordinates daily patient care and support functions.
Personal Effectiveness:
Maintains current professional knowledge, fosters positive working relationships, and approaches conflict constructively. Protects confidentiality, demonstrates core professional values, and promotes safe work practices for self and others.
