We are currently seeking a new Assistant Technical Director at our Charlotte, NC facility. We are searching for a talented and motivated individual that would enjoy working in a team oriented, entrepreneurial company. Description of the Lab Manager position: In this position, your responsibilities will include: Field inquiries from prospective Clients regarding Centricor Analytical analysis capabilities Evaluate prospective projects and determining pricing for new work Manage a team of senior and junior analytical chemists/technicians Review analysis conducted by senior and junior chemists and issue comprehensive reports to external customers. Plan and execute projects in support of client needs.
Types of projects include:
Product de-formulation, method development and validation, failure analysis and problem solving, impurity identification, extractable and leachable studies, structural characterization and routine sample analysis. Development of analytical methods and performing testing using a variety of technologies including
GC/MS, ICP/OES-MS, HPLC, GPC, IC, LC/MS, FTIR
, UV and NMR. Analyze data from the qualitative to the rigorously statistical and defending conclusions based on data. Maintain
ISO 17025
2017 Accreditation by overseeing daily analytical operations, ensuring compliance with international accreditation standards, and maintaining data integrity in a regulated, high-throughput environment. Lead technical teams, manage instrument maintenance, and act as the primary liaison for internal/external Lead the technical team in advanced projects such as unknown identifications, customer process troubleshooting, custom method development, method validations and reverse engineering. Lead Technical Meeting with current and Potential New Customers. Assist with instrument hardware / software support and troubleshooting with IT support personnel. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Experience managing a Commercial Analytical Contract Laboratory Expertise in Mass SpecTechnologies (ICP-MS and GC/MS) from de novo method development to validations and troubleshooting Experience in other analytical techniques such as HPLC, IC, and FTIR Strong problem-solving and project management abilities Demonstrated ability to review complex analytical data and draw conclusions Proven method development experience Demonstrated experience in de-formulation Experience in running an analytical group or laboratory Experience supervising senior chemists Experience in meeting tight timelines

auditor Excellent communication and customer support experience Excellent understanding of computer hardware / software and troubleshooting with IT support personnel We seek an individual with significant knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques demonstrated through a combination of industry and academic performance. Typical minimum educational requirements are a M.S. in Chemistry with 10+ years of experience; or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with 7+ years of experience.
