The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Cytogenetics supervisor job description Provide operational and technical leadership for the cytogenetics laboratory Oversee staff performance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance Coordinate workflow for karyotyping and FISH testing Troubleshoot technical issues and manage inventory Write and maintain lab procedures and perform assay validations Review complex cases for accuracy and prepare reports using ISCN nomenclature Consult with pathologists and clinicians to ensure appropriate testing Hire, train, and mentor technologists; schedule staff and conduct evaluations Maintain inspection readiness and compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations Drive continuous process improvement and innovation Perform bench work as needed and assist with operational tasks Qualifications At least a bachelors degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology with at least two years of experience in a clinical cytogenetics under a qualified director, Benefits and Perks At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees' physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
