Job Description

Position Overview:
As the Laboratory Manager, you will be the leadership of the labs operational team. Under the direction of the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various cannabis extraction processes, ensuring product quality, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Lab Manager is responsible for managing the production and extraction staff in the state you operate in. You must possess a "committed team" attitude to carry out the primary functions as set forth below. This position will involve managing the labeling of all concentrates, ensuring all products are properly tracked, recorded, and labeled in line with the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board regulations. In addition, you will help manage the logistics of shipping wholesale products, maintain accurate records, and support lab staff in adhering to safety protocols and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Extraction Oversight:
Overseeing the extraction of various cannabis concentrates, including distillate, live resin, HTE (High Terpene Extract), diamonds, crumble, shatter, and other products utilizing isobutane and ethanol extraction methods.
Compliance Management:
Ensure all compliance tasks are completed accurately, including: Data entry into METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting & Compliance) for tracking all products from extraction to packaging. Maintenance of packaging and waste logs, ensuring that all records meet Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board regulations. Compliance audits and inspections by preparing and maintaining the necessary documentation.
Labeling and Product Tracking:
Ensure all concentrates are accurately labeled according to CCB regulations, including product names, batch numbers, potency levels, cannabinoid content, and appropriate safety warnings. Verify that all labeling matches the information in METRC and ensure that products are traceable from extraction through packaging and distribution.
Logistics and Shipping:
Coordinate shipping and logistics for wholesale products, ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of goods to both internal packaging facilities and external wholesale clients. Assist in handling the packaging and transportation of finished products, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Inventory Management:
Manage the inventory of raw materials, solvents, packaging supplies, and finished products, ensuring an accurate stock count and timely reorder when necessary. Monitor waste disposal to ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety standards and CCB regulations.
Troubleshooting and Equipment Maintenance:
Troubleshooting and maintaining extraction equipment, identifying issues early to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Training and Team Support:
Support the training of lab staff, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and all relevant regulations. Work with the team to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment that follows proper handling and storage protocols for chemicals and hazardous materials.

Must be completed within 30 days of accepting the position. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in cannabis extraction, lab management, or a related field. Strong knowledge of cannabis extraction processes, specifically isobutane and ethanol extraction. Strong knowledge of METRC software, product labeling requirements, and Nevada CCB regulations. Excellent organizational skills, with an emphasis on compliance and record-keeping. Experience in managing logistics, including shipping and inventory management. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly with lab equipment. Strong attention to detail, especially in compliance, labeling, and record-keeping.
