Summary We are seeking a Laboratory Quality Supervisor that reports directly to our Laboratory Quality Manager and oversees the quality processes within our laboratory, ensuring adherence to established standards, regulations, and procedures. This role involves supervising staff, managing daily operations, conducting audits, and investigating non-conformances. The supervisor also plays a key role in training, development, and performance management of laboratory personnel.
Key Responsibilities Supervision and Management:
Directly supervise laboratory staff, including assigning work, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations. Ensure proper training and adherence to safety regulations, quality procedures, and documentation standards. Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for laboratory operations.
Quality Control and Assurance:
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality control systems and procedures. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions. Monitor and analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to quality processes.
Laboratory Operations:
Ensure timely and accurate testing, analysis, and reporting of results. Manage the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment (GC, GC-MSD, HPLC, LC/MS/MS, ICP-MS, FTIR, UV-VIS). Oversee the proper handling and storage of laboratory samples and materials. Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate testing priorities and work assignments to laboratory staff. Liaise with other departments, such as production, quality, and regulatory, to address quality-related issues. Prepare and present data for audits and quality reviews.
Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training programs for laboratory staff on quality control procedures, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Mentor and coach staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Key Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of quality control principles, regulations, and standards: (e.g., GMP, GLP). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills . Ability to interpret and apply technical data and analytical results . Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation . Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and auditing . Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field . Relevant experience in a laboratory setting, with supervisory experience.
