Job Summary:

Monitor accurate, timely and cost-effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing complex chemical, biological, hematological , immunological and microscopic tests. Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide training Check competencies Document fair and objective performance evaluation Participating in Quality Improvement activities Review of all critical values

Required Background:

NYSED license required/Laboratory Technologist Certification Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Biology or Chemistry required Minimum of six years' recent experience as a Medical Technologist Prior experience in a leadership role Lab Science understanding of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Banking and Microbiology.
