Laboratory Generalist Position Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour - pay dependent on experience Job description: Job Overview Physician owned laboratory looking to add talented lab personnel. This position is Monday through Friday and provides an independent work setting.Job Summary:
Performs routine specimen testing in urine toxicology and routine blood testing (hematology, chemistry and immunology) in accordance with established COLA protocols. Additional responsibilities include all related clerical functions, lab maintenance and regulatory compliance and quality assurance tasks. Reports and receives general supervision from the Laboratory Supervisor. Engage in ongoing training, competency assessments and sharing ideas for continuous improvement in the lab. Compensation is dependent on experience.Skills and Abilities:

Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in Molecular Biology and chemistry. Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably as a Lab Generalist with experience in all aspects of a routine lab.Preferred:
MLT, MT or MB from the Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laboratory Specialist to join our private Pain Management laboratory focusing on urine toxicology and routine blood work. In this vital role, you will oversee and execute complex laboratory procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), FDA regulations, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP). Your expertise will help support patients in the struggle with Pain Management by assisting the providers with lab results both with urine toxicology and routine lab work. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, possesses strong critical thinking, troubleshooting and analysis skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment focused on providing accurate lab results. Responsibilities Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments across microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and other research disciplines in accordance with established protocols. Ensure all laboratory activities comply withGLP, FDA
regulations, CGMP standards, and safety guidelines. Manage laboratory operations including sample processing, data collection, documentation, and reporting of results accurately and efficiently. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; ensure calibration and validation procedures are followed rigorously. Oversee laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to track samples, results, and project data seamlessly. Supervise junior staff or interns; provide training on laboratory techniques and safety procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research projects, clinical trials, and product development initiatives to meet project milestones. Implement quality control measures to uphold the integrity of experimental data and ensure reproducibility of results. Assist in the development of new laboratory procedures or methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy. Monitor inventory levels of reagents, supplies, and equipment; coordinate procurement as needed to support ongoing projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry or related field Proven experience working in a research or clinical laboratory environment with familiarity in hematology, chemistry or related disciplines. Strong understanding of GLP standards, FDA regulations, CGMP practices and laboratory safety protocols. Demonstrated expertise in laboratory techniques including hematology, microscopy, sample prep and chemistry analysis. Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and laboratory management software. Excellent analysis skills with meticulous attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple laboratory disciplines simultaneously. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
