LABORATORY MANAGER

$80,000 - $95,000 DOE POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with CLIA, COLA, and all applicable regulatory standards. This leader will be responsible for quality assurance, staff development, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while working closely with the Laboratory Director to maintain exceptional testing standards and patient care. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, workflow, and testing activities. Ensure compliance with CLIA, COLA, and federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain quality control documentation, maintenance logs, proficiency testing records, competency assessments, and corrective action plans. Serve as the laboratory representative during inspections and audits. Develop and execute validation studies for new assays and testing methodologies. Utilize EP Evaluator software for statistical analysis and reporting. Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel while maintaining competency records. Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate laboratory coverage. Analyze operational data to support staffing, inventory management, and budget planning. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost management. Partner with the Laboratory Director to ensure timely review and submission of required documentation. Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards and infection control requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field. Five (5)+ years of laboratory experience with supervisory or management responsibilities. Strong knowledge of CLIA, COLA, laboratory quality assurance programs, and regulatory requirements. Experience with validation studies, proficiency testing, and quality management systems. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred:
MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or equivalent certification. Experience managing multi-site laboratory operations. Experience utilizing EP Evaluator software. LABORATORY INSTRUMENTATION
