Temporary Full-Time Position (June 2026- July 2026)
Salary Range:
$30.00- $40.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
- Position Summary Primary Care Health Services (PCHS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Temporary Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the clinical laboratory during the months of June and July 2026.
- Supervise daily laboratory operations and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, Pennsylvania Department of Health, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Assist with laboratory inspections, audits, corrective action plans, and regulatory documentation.
- Oversee laboratory staff scheduling, training, competency assessments, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of laboratory equipment.
- Review laboratory procedures and implement updates as needed.
- Support specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, administration, and external vendors regarding laboratory operations.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional laboratory environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational meetings as requested.
- Qualifications Candidates must meet the qualifications outlined under Pennsylvania laboratory regulations for laboratory supervisors, including one of the following:
- Doctoral degree from an accredited institution with at least two (2) years of acceptable laboratory experience; OR
- Master's degree in Medical Technology or a biological, chemical, or physical science with at least four (4) years of acceptable laboratory experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science with appropriate qualifying laboratory experience as permitted by Pennsylvania regulations.
Additional qualifications include:
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of CLIA regulations and laboratory compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in moderate complexity laboratory settings preferred.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a clinical laboratory environment with exposure to biological materials and chemicals following standard safety precautions.
Pay:
$30.00- $40.
