CCP specializes in providing comprehensive Cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are currently hiring for a full-time Lab Supervisor for our Springfield, PA location. The position is located in the Clinical Department of the CCP clinic and reports directly to the ECA RN Manager for all matters, including job duties, performance evaluations, approval of leave, and other assignments as deemed necessary for benefit of CCP. Please note this role is entitled to a $500 sign-on bonus.
NATURE OF DUTIES
The Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of CCP lab, managing staff as program grows, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.SPECIFIC DUTIES
Oversee daily laboratory operations and coordinate workflow to ensure efficiency.Personnel management:
hire, train and mentor lab personnel as dictated by program growth. Responsible for staff development and managing their performance.Quality Assurance:
develop and implement quality control programs and ensure all procedures and tests are performed accurately and consistently.Compliance and Safety:
enforce and maintain compliance with all relevant safety protocols, standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.Budget and resource management:
manage the laboratory budget, order and maintain supplies and equipment, and ensure all necessary equipment in in working order.Technical oversight:
provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate data collection, analysis and reporting.Record keeping:
maintain accurate and detailed records, prepare reports, and conduct audits as needed.Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in a relevant field Doctoral degree from an accredited institution with at least 2 years' experience acceptable to the Department in one or more of the applicable categories in the clinical laboratory. OR M.A. or M.S. degree from an accredited institution with a major in medical technology or one of the biological, physical or chemical sciences and shall have had at least 4 years' experience acceptable to the Department in one or more of the applicable categories in the clinical laboratory. OR B.S. or A.B. degree from an accredited institution with a major in medical technology or one of the biological, physical or chemical sciences and shall have had at least 6 years' experience acceptable to the Department in one or more of the applicable categories in the clinical laboratory.Technical expertise:
thorough knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment and information management systems in essential Leadership and management skills: the ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively is critical for success in this role Attention to detail: a high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for detail are necessary for maintain quality control and precise resultsCommunication Skills:
excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for training staff, reporting findings, and collaborating with colleagues. Communicates regularly with Lab Director and keeps informed of any potential issues or concerns.Problem-solving abilities:
strong analytical and critical thinking skills are needed to troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions under pressure.Organizational skills:

Full-time If you are hired, and assuming your employment is in good standing, you will receive the sign-on bonus. The bonus will be paid to you no later than 30 days following your start date.
