All South Laboratory Staff Physical Requirements The ability to perform the duties and responsibility of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Consistently utilizes and maintains supplies and equipment to minimize lost charges and unnecessary equipment repair-replacement.Confidentiality:
Adheres to established policies on privacy and security requirements for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as applicable by Shannon Policy.Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions Maintain the overall performance of the lab including quality of results, timeliness of results, specimen integrity, and the prompt resolution to missing and problem specimens; Oversee the workflow and production to ensure timelines for reporting results to customers are met. Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on instruments. Assist with the managing of labor costs. Distributes/assigns work; determines priorities; schedules non-routine procedures; performs personnel related functions (hiring, discipline, training, etc.); Communicate any procedural changes with staff. Assist with establishing and maintaining production standards and laboratory goals. In addition, ensure that the laboratory passes QA inspections by monitoring all QA records and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or relatedExperience:
Preferred One year of management experienceCertification/Licensure:
