The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in laboratory techniques, management, and compliance, with a strong background in conducting assays and handling biological specimens. As Laboratory Supervisor, you will lead a team of laboratory technicians and scientists, ensuring the delivery of accurate, reliable results while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Duties Supervise daily laboratory activities, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis, ensuring adherence to established protocols and quality standards. Perform laboratory tests, analyses, and procedure according to established protocols. Manage laboratory inventory, including reagents, supplies, and equipment maintenance, ensuring optimal functionality and availability. Implement and monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor laboratory equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and calibration activities. Lead staff training initiatives on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, aseptic techniques, and data management systems. Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols, medical terminology standards, and hospital or institutional regulations. Oversee data collection, documentation management systems, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. Coordinate schedule management for laboratory personnel to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high safety standards. Prepare and maintain laboratory reports, records, and documentation. Facilitate communication with management, production, quality assurance, or healthcare teams as required. Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas. Investigate and resolve laboratory issues, discrepancies, and non-conformance incidents. Requirements Proven experience in a clinical or reference laboratory environment with expertise in laboratory procedures such as
ELISA, PCR, RNA
extraction, DNA isolation, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood sampling techniques. Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a laboratory setting; capable of leading teams effectively. Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques related to physiology, anatomy, specimen processing, and analysis skills necessary for accurate results interpretation. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), document management systems, and compliance management tools. Experience in managing quality assurance/quality control programs (QA/QC) within regulated environments such as hospitals or clinical laboratories. Knowledge of medical terminology related to blood sampling (venipuncture), vital signs measurement, and specimen collection protocols. Ability to ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety procedures; experience with hospital or clinical lab standards is preferred. Excellent organizational skills for schedule management and data collection; capable of multitasking in fast-paced settings. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills for team supervision and cross-department collaboration. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology Proficiency or knowledge of equipment, Siemens, Ruby, Ortho, Architect, QuanStudio. Knowledge and Familiarity with (OSHA, CAP, GMP, CLIA, etc.). 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Hours 2PM-11
