Full Job Description Work Schedule :
100% FTE, day/evening shift. Monday through Friday on-site ~4:30AM start time. On-call rotation with leadership team every 3 weeks, including holidays/weekends. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on department needs. Be part of something remarkable Use your laboratory experience to help lead the Lab Services team at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Lab Services Supervisor to: Be responsible for phlebotomy personnel management, employee schedules, biweekly payroll maintenance, and work in collaboration with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance to maintain accreditation. Assist with the development, annual review, and implementation of department policies and procedures. Monitor laboratory activity throughout the day. Maintain visible supervision of employees, direct work flow, and assist with patient care to maximize efficiency. Perform and document assigned quality activities. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in chemical physical, biological or clinical laboratory science Required or Associate's Degree An associate degree and two years of relevant experience, in addition to the required work experience below, may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Required Work Experience 3 years of relevant laboratory experience Required 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity Preferred Licenses & Certifications American Society for Clinical Pathology registered as Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Specialist in Cytotechnology, Histotechnician, Histotechnologist, Technologist in Blood Bank, Specialist in Blood Bank, Phlebotomist, Diplomate in Laboratory Management, or certification appropriate for Clinical Lab department(s) managed.
