Job Description

The Metrology Supervisor will work with minimal supervision to lead a team of 5 direct reports within the Metrology department. The Supervisor will execute metrology program processes to ensure requirements are met for proper calibration of production, research, and quality control instruments. Responsibilities include supervise, develop, and mentor team of calibration specialists as well as develop and maintain cGMP compliant metrology systems. This role will focus on manufacturing equipment such as lyophilizers, pumps, etc. Essential Responsibilities Work with Department Managers to determine scheduling according to Company priorities, ensuring that the cGMP calibration schedule is met. Perform all aspects of metrology and calibration (including out of tolerance and out of frequency reports) to maintain various calibration standards, the Calibration and Metrology Information System (CMIS) and provide written recommendations to management in support of it. Participate in audits, addresses audit findings, and write studies and investigations where necessary. Develop appropriate calibration systems and procedures for new and existing processes and lab equipment. Review calibration records. Assess Out of Tolerance (OOT) results and assist in determining how the OOT instrumentation potentially affects the product. Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred; associates degree required 5+ years of experience required; 10+ years of experience preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience preferred #GI2
