Luke's Where You Will Work:
The Operating Room Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, and quality of patient care services within GI services This role oversees nursing and anesthesia services, ensures appropriate staffing and resource utilization, and manages the efficient flow of both elective and non-elective surgical cases. The Supervisor serves as a clinical and operational leader, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
We're Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). or enrolled in a ADN to BSN program Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience - with prior leadership experience and procedural care Advanced clinical and technical knowledge of surgical services, including surgery, endoscopy, and pre-operative and post-operative care areas. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
Supervise all patient care services within the GI services including nursing and anesthesia services. Coordinate staff, resources, and workflow to ensure cohesive, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Manage the daily flow of surgical cases, ensuring timely case starts and efficient room utilization. Monitor and assess OR resources (personnel, equipment, and rooms) to ensure appropriate setup for surgical procedures. Coordinate OR schedules and communicate changes or openings with patient care units and clinical leaders. Facilitate accommodation of unscheduled and emergency surgical procedures. Expedite surgical schedules for both elective and non-elective cases.
