Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your laboratory career in a dynamic healthcare setting focused on high-standard patient care. We are searching for a detail-oriented individual skilled as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician. In this pivotal role, you will use your expertise to perform complex testing—particularly in Blood Banking—while contributing to an exceptional team dedicated to laboratory excellence.
Schedule:
Night shifts with rotating weekends.
Key Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT); AMT certification also accepted. Previous experience or strong skills in Blood Banking are essential. Proficiency in phlebotomy is highly preferred. Keen attention to detail with the ability to follow rigorous safety and quality protocols. Solid communication skills to ensure accurate reporting and team collaboration. Capability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, emphasizing heavy Blood Bank operations. Conduct quality control procedures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of results. Collect and process patient specimens, including phlebotomy tasks as required. Maintain laboratory equipment and document quality assurance activities. Communicate significant findings promptly with healthcare staff. Adhere to infection control, laboratory safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
