Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your laboratory career by utilizing your expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This contract opportunity calls for a highly skilled professional with strong experience in heavy blood banking to support vital laboratory operations.
Schedule:
Night shifts Rotating weekends
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as ASCP or AMT; both are accepted Experience in blood banking is essential for this role Phlebotomy skills preferred and valued Proficient in laboratory testing, analysis, and quality assurance procedures Familiarity with laboratory regulatory standards and safety protocols Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
Perform and interpret laboratory tests, with a significant focus on blood banking and transfusion services Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure consistent operation Conduct specimen collection and phlebotomy procedures if required Analyze results and report critical findings promptly to healthcare providers Maintain comprehensive records of test results in compliance with regulatory standards Adhere strictly to laboratory safety practices and infection control measures Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to meet patient care needs across shifts, including weekends This role is an excellent opportunity to contribute your specialized laboratory knowledge in a crucial healthcare setting.
