40 Hours Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a day shift travel assignment in a hospital laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will perform a broad range of diagnostic testing to ensure accurate and timely results that support high-quality patient care and clinical decision-making. This role requires strong generalist laboratory experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across core disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and related areas Analyze patient specimens and ensure accurate, timely reporting of results Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Perform and document quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures Review and validate test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability Report critical values promptly to appropriate clinical staff Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and applicable laboratory standards Process, handle, and store specimens in accordance with established protocols Troubleshoot instrument issues and escalate concerns when necessary Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and records Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams Support daily laboratory workflow and operational efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (required) Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (state-specific, as applicable) Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred; generalist experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and instrumentation Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and hospital laboratory compliance standards Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently in a high-volume clinical setting Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
