Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT / RVS) — Outpatient Vascular Lab HeartBeat MED LLC Garden Grove, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | PRN | Per diem From $35 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Arterial Doppler studies Venous insufficiency assessment Image acquisition for patient care BLS Certification Quality assurance Vascular technology diagnostics Vascular ultrasound machine Registered Vascular Technologist Operating medical imaging equipment Patient interaction Full Job Description Description A new, physician-owned outpatient vascular practice in Garden Grove is opening its non-invasive vascular lab and seeking a credentialed Registered Vascular Technologist to be a foundational member of the team. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a brand-new office, work directly with an experienced vascular and interventional radiologist, and grow with the practice as it expands. You'll perform the full range of non-invasive vascular studies and help establish our protocols and quality standards as we pursue IAC Vascular Testing accreditation. What you'll do: Perform high-quality non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies under physician supervision, including carotid duplex, arterial and venous duplex, venous reflux/insufficiency mapping, ABI and segmental pressures, PAD screening, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening. Acquire diagnostic-quality images and complete technical worksheets for physician interpretation, following IAC-aligned protocols. Prepare patients, explain procedures, and deliver attentive, compassionate care. Maintain equipment, follow QA/QC procedures, and help document lab protocols. Partner with the physician and practice manager to build the lab toward accreditation.
Requirements:
Active RVT credential through ARDMS, or active RVS/RPhS through CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International). ARRT(VS) is also considered. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification. Ability to independently perform and document carotid, venous (DVT and reflux), arterial duplex, and ABI studies. Eligibility to work in the U.S. and to complete federal employment verification (I-9).
Preferred:
2+ years of vascular sonography experience. Prior experience in an IAC-accredited lab or a vein/vascular outpatient practice. Bilingual (Vietnamese, Korean, or Spanish) a plus given our community.
