ABSMC-Summit Campus Position Overview:
This position may be required to perform tests in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory including, but not limited to: Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis and limited Microbiology.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's:

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
CLSL-Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of laboratory test methods, specimen requirements, test limitations, test interpretations sufficient to perform tests accurately and to recognize and analyze problems effectively. Skill in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments. Skill in performing manual and automated test procedures. Skill in computer keyboard data entry/retrieval. Skill in the recognition and analysis of problems in laboratory test performance, calibration and QC. Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers. Skill in phlebotomy. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, and analysis of variance. Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
