DESCRIPTION
As a Clinical Scientist II, you will contribute to scientific discovery through precise laboratory analysis and quality control. You'll perform complex laboratory procedures, ensure accurate instrument operation, and maintain high standards of documentation in our clinical facilities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to molecular and NGS testing while training and mentoring other laboratory personnel. You'll be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, participating in proficiency testing, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality assurance policies. In our clinical laboratory environment, you'll collaborate with colleagues while maintaining critical inventory and documentation standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience, preferably in high-complexity molecular or NGS testing
Preferred Fields of Study:
Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or related field Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (Generalist or CGMBS) Proficiency in laboratory information systems, data analysis software, and complex instrumentation Demonstrated expertise in sample processing, analysis, and result reporting Strong understanding of good laboratory practices (GLP) and regulatory compliance Excellence in documentation practices and quality control procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to train and mentor laboratory personnel Physical capability to: Handle infectious agents and hazardous materials safely Lift up to 40 pounds Perform precise manual operations with laboratory equipment Distinguish colors for analysis Stand/sit for extended periods Reach overhead and low cabinets for supplies Strong inventory management skills Ability to respond to equipment alarms and maintain laboratory safety protocols Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $80,000.00-$112,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
