Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, our regular business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Description:

The CLS will perform high complexity testing of urine specimens for a variety of environmental pollutants and metabolites in accordance with CDPH, CLIA and CAP guidelines. Duties include performing validation studies, sample preparation, data review, preventative maintenance, calibration and many other functions as required by company management, supervisors and the laboratory director. As the laboratory looks to expand its test offerings, additional matrices, analytes and techniques will be added. The CLS will provide laboratory services in a timely and professional manner and act as a technical resource for staff. Depending on the experience and qualifications of the candidate, the CLS may be hired at the Generalist or Specialist level, with preference given to candidates meeting Technical Supervisor or General Supervisor classification by CDPH.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current or renewable California Department of Public Health Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) license or Clinical Toxicologist Scientist (Specialist) license A bachelor's degree Experience in performing high complexity testing using

LC-MS/MS

technology Manual dexterity Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Technical Supervisor or General Supervisor in high complexity testing Previous experience with Waters®

LC-MS/MS

systems and/or Agilent® ICP-MS systems Previous experience developing analytical methods, performing and documenting validations and assisting with laboratory inspections
