Job Description

Polysomnographic Technologist (PRN) University of California - San Francisco $69.71 - $69.71 United States, California, San Francisco 1650 3rd Street (Show on map) Apr 07, 2026 The Sr. Polysomnographic Technologist Per Diem must be able to work independently and will be primarily responsible for conducting and monitoring sleep and Multiple Sleep Latency (MSLT) studies according to clinical guidelines and research protocols, the setting up of equipment and patients, keeping inventory of supplies, managing equipment, troubleshooting artifacts and scoring studies. This position will also perform other procedures according to research protocols. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from college with a major in an applicable natural science plus two years of experience in the kind of work to be performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
  • Registered Polysomnography Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
  • Current Sleep Technologist license from California Medical Board
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
