Qualifications:

Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license is required Strong generalist background with proven experience in blood bank procedures ASCP certification is not required for this role Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical teams Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all laboratory testing Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines with an emphasis on blood bank Analyze, interpret, and report laboratory results to assist in patient care decisions Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments meet quality standards Adhere to strict protocols regarding safety, quality control, and specimen handling Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to provide timely and accurate results Assist in quality assurance activities and participate in ongoing educational sessions as needed
