We're Hiring a Sr. Medical Technologist, Automated Lab - ATTACH RESUME Ready to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment? Join our Automated Lab Team at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT, and bring your exceptional talents to a team that makes a real impact—every single day. Join a team where your expertise drives diagnosis, innovation, and teaching. You would be responsible for oversight of operations on the evening shift in the Automated Lab.
What you will do:
Performs a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to established standards: maintains and/or calibrates scientific equipment. Provides teaching and education to lab students and other personnel. Responsible for maintaining inspection readiness at all times.
Position Hours:
32 hours, Evening Shift, every other weekend; rotating holidays
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology Must have a minimum of 5 years experience; Must have an understanding of all laboratory sections as a generalist that may include: Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis. Knowledge of specimen processing, specimen handling and phlebotomy are needed.

xhibits strong interpersonal skill; technically competent. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology Must be able to cover alternate shifts (for call-offs, sicknesses, emergencies, other situations) and weekends and holidays as needed.
