Location:
Hollywood, Florida Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care.
Summary:
Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment. •Nights 6pm - 6:30am on Sun, Mon, Tue OR Wed, Thur, Fri; 12 hour shifts; 1:1 patient ratio •
Responsibilities:
Prepares, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.

Scores, interprets and reports results of sleep studies. Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.

Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted.

Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. Interviews patient/parent to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
