Job Summary Performs diagnostic testing and quality control procedures, prepares reagents, and reports results in accordance with established policies and procedures. Reviews and oversees moderate to high complexity testing, maintains equipment and supplies, and monitors computer applications related to laboratory operations. Ensures accuracy and compliance in all testing activities and performs other duties as assigned. Role Overview As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I , you will perform diagnostic testing and support laboratory operations to ensure accurate and timely results for patient care. This role is ideal for licensed generalists who are interested in expanding or strengthening their experience in blood bank, as well as those with a strong passion for transfusion medicine.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing diagnostic testing and quality control procedures Preparing reagents and supporting laboratory setup and operations Reviewing and overseeing moderate to high complexity testing, including blood bank processes Maintaining laboratory equipment and managing supply inventory Monitoring laboratory systems and computer applications Ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with laboratory standards Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education Required:
Associate's Degree in Medical Technology OR related field
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Experience Required:
Clinical laboratory generalist experience Minimum of four (4) months relevant experience
Preferred:
Blood bank or transfusion medicine experience strongly preferred Interest or experience working in a blood bank setting Licensure /
Certification Required:
