Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract A skilled Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician is needed for a 6-month contract evening shift position. This role offers structured hours from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends off for a healthy work-life balance. The environment is supportive and dynamic, focusing on a variety of laboratory disciplines and the latest technology.
Key Qualifications:
Certified or licensed as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician Experience in general laboratory disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Specimen Processing Ability to assist with Blood Bank and Microbiology functions as assigned Familiarity with Meditech laboratory information systems is highly desirable Precise attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate laboratory results Comfortable working independently, problem-solving, and managing multiple priorities No phlebotomy duties required
Schedule:
Evening shift: 11:00 am - 9:30 pm Monday through Friday; no weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze laboratory specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures Accurately perform tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation Follow proper protocols for Blood Bank and Microbiology, as designated Ensure specimen integrity throughout processing and evaluation Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments Thoroughly document and communicate results, collaborating with healthcare staff as needed Uphold all laboratory safety and compliance standards This opportunity allows you to develop and contribute within a flexible and professional environment, using your skills across a variety of specialties without weekend commitments.
