Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract A leading healthcare provider is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. This role focuses on weekend day shifts with a 3x12 schedule. As a generalist, you'll play an integral part in delivering reliable and timely laboratory results, supporting patient care across a variety of testing disciplines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related life sciences field Current certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent) Minimum of one year of experience working as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting Experience working as a generalist is highly preferred Familiarity with laboratory information systems and automated instrumentation Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
Schedule:
13-week contract Weekend day shifts 3x12 schedule (three 12-hour shifts per week)
Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of diagnostic testing across core laboratory departments, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and immunology Operate and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment with precision and care Ensure all laboratory results meet strict standards of accuracy and timeliness Perform routine maintenance, quality control, and calibration procedures on instruments Maintain meticulous records in compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
