Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) Rural Hawaii | Full-Time Are you looking for an opportunity to practice laboratory medicine in one of the most unique and beautiful locations in the United States? We are seeking a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician to join a small rural hospital serving a close-knit island community in Hawaii. This position is ideal for candidates who understand and appreciate the lifestyle of Hawaii's neighbor islands and are excited about becoming part of a community-focused healthcare team. Position Highlights Full-time, permanent position Rural healthcare setting Small, collaborative laboratory team Opportunity to perform a wide range of laboratory testing Meaningful impact on an underserved island community Exceptional quality of life and island living Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures Analyze and report patient results accurately and efficiently Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation Perform quality control and quality assurance activities Assist with specimen collection and processing as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and regulatory standards Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field MT/MLS or MLT certification preferred (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) Current Hawaii Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technician license required Previous generalist laboratory experience preferred Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a small laboratory environment Ideal Candidate We are specifically seeking candidates who are familiar with Hawaii and understand the unique lifestyle and culture of a rural island community.
