1 About the Role MedOp Solutions is seeking a skilled Registered Polysomnography Technologist (Sleep Technologist) for a 13-week travel assignment at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa . This role supports the EEG/Neuro Testing department , providing overnight diagnostic sleep studies and monitoring patients with sleep disorders. The Polysomnography Technologist will perform sleep studies, monitor patients overnight, collect physiological data, and assist physicians in diagnosing and treating sleep-related disorders. This position requires strong technical knowledge of sleep study equipment and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. The Sleep Lab supports patients undergoing diagnostic testing for sleep disorders and related neurological conditions.

Sleep Lab Patient Population:

Adult patients undergoing sleep studies Patients with suspected sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and other neurological sleep conditions Key Responsibilities Conduct overnight polysomnography (sleep studies) to monitor patient sleep patterns Set up and calibrate sleep study equipment including EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, and respiratory monitoring devices Monitor patients throughout the night and ensure accurate recording of physiological data Identify and document abnormal sleep patterns or respiratory events Score and analyze sleep study data as required Maintain patient safety and comfort during overnight monitoring Communicate results and observations with physicians and clinical staff Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system Required Qualifications Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent credential Experience performing polysomnography testing Knowledge of sleep study equipment and sleep disorder diagnostics Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
