Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await skilled laboratory professionals seeking a dynamic contract role. Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians play a vital part in supporting patient care by delivering accurate, timely laboratory results. This 13-week assignment offers experience in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting, with multiple shifts available to suit your scheduling needs.
Schedule/Hours:
Multiple shifts offered, with flexibility to accommodate varied availability
Requirements & Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory environment is highly desirable Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and best practices for quality control Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of laboratory tests—hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and transfusion services Analyze specimens using automated and manual techniques while adhering to quality and safety standards Maintain documentation, quality control records, and laboratory logs Review and verify results, escalating critical findings appropriately Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as necessary Participate in continuing education and support laboratory process improvements
