EPIC We are actively seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for an exciting contract opportunity with a respected healthcare facility in Southern Illinois. This position is ideal for laboratory professionals looking to expand their experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Position Overview:

Seeking a Lab Generalist with phlebotomy experience to support laboratory operations. Candidates will collect, process, and analyze specimens while maintaining laboratory quality and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory testing procedures across multiple departments Collect, process, and receive specimens including blood, urine, body fluids, and fecal samples Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing Analyze quality control data and maintain testing accuracy Recognize and troubleshoot deviations and instrument issues Answer laboratory inquiries regarding methodology and test interpretation Review instrument indicators and monitor laboratory systems Assist in evaluation of laboratory techniques and procedures Maintain competency and participate in ongoing laboratory initiatives Preferred Equipment Experience (not required): Abbott Alinity ACL Tops 350

✔ Minimum 2 years of experience preferred ✔ Lab Generalist experience required ✔ Phlebotomy experience required ✔ Bachelor's Degree (Associate degree acceptable for grandfathered personnel) ✔ CLS, MT (ASCP), or equivalent certification required ✔ New MT graduates must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment start date
