Job Description

Qualifications Medical Technologist (MT) required (AAB) (AMT) (ASCP) Medical Lab Technician (MLT) preferred (AAB) (AMT) (ASCP) Specific to
Medical Laboratory Technician:
Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a graduate of a Diploma School Program. Certification/License/Registration by ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AMT, AAB, or equivalent. Specific for
Medical Technologist:
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field. Certification/License/Registration by ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AAB, AMT, or equivalent.
Overall:
Excellent verbal and communication skills. Maintenance of strict HIPPA Regulations. Have the ability to assess the needs of the customer and effectively meet those needs. Demonstrate a working knowledge of computers. Access the web for product information, send data for calculations, and retrieve compiled data. Responsibilities Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT) supervises and performs tests in any of the departmental areas of the laboratory: Checks the validity and accuracy of test results. Provides in-service education to other technicians and technologists. Provides on-the-job training to new personnel (clerks) and/or orientation of new technicians and technologists. Able to collect samples from patients of all ages. Responsible for guest relations, interpersonal skills, and patient confidentiality Schedule Full-Time Nights Monday
