Description/Comment:
Summary Responsible for overseeing the Transfusion Medicine processes within the hospital labs. Develop training and competency programs for Transfusion Medicine hospital based labs. Duties and Responsibilities- Drives and leads Transfusion Medicine projects
- Works with CLIENT Quality Assurance team to utilize quality tools and insure readiness for any regulatory inspections
- Oversees the FDA Reportables and submissions
- Drives Standardization across the system in Transfusion Medicine
- Oversight of collaborative team incorporating thought leaders from CLIENT and applicable hospitals
- Develop transfusion medicine productivity standards, quality measures, and best practices
- Evaluation of instrumentation, reagent systems to drive standardization
- Works with
CLIENT BPT
Leader to provide ROI, service requirements and implementation tools for recommended instrumentation- Creates and executes standard Blood Bank SOPS, tools and metrics
- Serves on hospital subcommittees as needed Job Qualifications (Work Experience, Physical & Mental Requirements, Knowledge, Skills) Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting and squatting.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology required ASCP Certification required Three to six (3- 6) years of pertinent, full-time laboratory experience in a Core laboratory.
