$50 - $58/hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) to join a clinical laboratory team. In this role, you will perform and document laboratory testing with a high level of accuracy and quality, supporting patient care through timely and reliable diagnostic results. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and physician orders Collect and process specimens, including: Venous and capillary blood draws Handling of body fluids and other biological samples Prepare reagents, standards, and quality controls as required Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments Perform troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance on equipment Accurately record, analyze, and report test results Communicate critical values promptly to providers and care teams Ensure proper specimen packaging and coordination with reference laboratories Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Quality & Compliance Participate in proficiency testing programs to maintain regulatory compliance Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, including: Data collection and analysis Process improvement recommendations Assist in maintaining procedure manuals per regulatory standards Adhere to all confidentiality, safety, and infection control policies Additional Responsibilities Support inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies Assist in training and orientation of new staff and students Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and interdisciplinary teams Stay current with departmental policies, procedures, and emergency protocols Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in: Medical Laboratory Science Medical Technology Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry Completion of an accredited Medical Technology internship program ASCP Certification (or equivalent) required Recent Core Laboratory experience preferred For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
